Gymnastics classes are available for ages 18 months and up and focus on the four main Olympic apparatuses: beam, vault, uneven bars and floor with additional focus on the Tumble Trak, Air Trak, trampoline and double mini. All classes are held at the Duis Recreation Center.

Parent/Tot Gymnastics: This is a parent participation class. Classes are gently structured to allow your child to explore the gym at his/her own pace. Parents participate with their child, assisting them through obstacle courses, circuits, and stations. Activities are designed to enhance your child’s body awareness, coordination, agility, balance, flexibility, and strength.
3-Year-Olds: This class is for 3-year-olds who are ready to venture into the gym without parental assistance. Little ones are introduced to fundamental gymnastics. Our curriculum focuses on improving coordination, motor and social skills, as well as, agility, flexibility, balance, strength – and of course FUN!
4-Year-Olds: In this class, preschoolers are introduced to fundamental gymnastics. Classes are structured to introduce basic gymnastics skills. We also focus on Kindergarten readiness skills, like hopping, skipping, and galloping, as well as, following directions, taking turns and counting. Classes will challenge and entertain your little one.
5-Year-Olds: This program is a stepping-stone into our recreational classes. This class focuses on building a strong gymnastics foundation. We emphasize coordination, flexibility and building strength on all the apparatus. These classes will challenge students and promote their self-esteem.
Introduction to Gymnastics: This class is for graduates from our 5-year-old class and students who are brand new to gymnastics. We will focus on the basics for each event, as well as, our bounce stations. Your budding gymnast will master fundamental gymnastics skills, improve coordination, flexibility, strength, balance, agility, and air-awareness. These classes are challenging and fun!
Level 1: In this class, students continue to build beginning gymnastics skills on vault, bars, beam, floor and trampolines. Each class we challenge students both mentally and physically. We want your child to leave feeling confident and excited to return the following week!
Level 2: This class is for students that have successfully met the skill requirements for Level 1. Students will continue to build gymnastics skills on all the events. As in all or recreational classes, flexibility, strength and coordination are important elements of each class. These are essential to safety and progression in the sport. * Teacher recommendation is required to enroll.
Level 3 & Up: This class is for students that have successfully met the skill requirements for Level 1 and 2. In this challenging program students will be working on Level 3 and 4 skills on all the events. Instructors will encourage gymnasts to develop a strong independent work ethic, while continuing to learn creative and fun gymnastics. *Teacher recommendation is required to enroll.
Lil’ Dudes: Tumbling and Gymnastics with a focus on obstacle course training, trampolines and finding creative ways to channel all that boy energy.
Boys Only: Tumbling and Gymnastics with a focus on obstacle course training, trampolines and finding creative ways to channel all that boy energy.
Acrobatics for Dancers: In this class we will focus on the tumbling skills most used by dancers: Walkovers, handsprings and aerials! More advanced students will be learning front and backflips. While we will use the trampolines to supplement learning, most of the class time will be spent learning and practicing skills on the floor.
Middle School Tumblers: This class focuses on a broad range of skills, from basic tumbling fundamentals (rolls, handstands and cartwheels), to advanced skills (round-offs, back handsprings, flips and aerials). We emphasize overall fitness, flexibility and strength. Our various trampolines will be used to supplement and enhance learning. Bigs skills will be broken down into parts for easier and safer learning.
Tumbling 1 – Beginner: In this class, students will focus on tumbling: from beginning skills, such as rolls, handstand, and cartwheels, to harder skills like round-offs and walkovers. Classes are both challenging and fun.
Tumbling 2 – Intermediate: This class is for students that have completed the skill requirements for Beginning Tumbling and are ready to learn more challenging skills. Flexibility and strength are essential to safety and progression in the sport and will be part of every class. *Teacher recommendation is required to enroll.
Tumbling 3 – Advanced: This class is for students that have successfully mastered the requirements for both Beginning and Intermediate Tumbling. Instructors work with tumblers to develop a strong work ethic as they learn new and exciting skills. *Teacher recommendation is required to enroll.
